The James Wyatt Music Room, Powderham Castle

A fortified manor house, Powderham Castle is situated in Kenton, South Devon, and is 8 miles south of Exeter, and nestling on the west banks of the River Exe Estuary. The spectacular music room was designed by James Wyatt in 1788. In recent times, Powderham has become a major events venue, both inside the building, and in its extensive grounds.

Powderham is only a short drive away from the lovely South Devon coast, including the seaside towns of Dawlish and Teignmouth. At Dawlish Warren there is a large nature reserve, and at Teignmouth, visitors can take boat trips to explore the coastline.
